Birds of Southern Florida & the Bahamas - Draft #1

This is really rough -- will be updated soon.....

I plan to present to the class what types of birds inhabit what particular ecosystems, feeding, nesting, and migration patterns, and to develop a species list of birds by environment to have available as a reference to what the class might expect to see. I hope to put this together as an actual field guide that can be carried in the field to record species sighted with any pertinent information. At this early point, I am also hoping to be able to include pictures of as many species as possible.

I really feel that this is an important topic as I suspect birds may be one of the species most easily observable and certainly abundant as well as being an important player in the ecosystems of most environments.
