The purpose of this topic is point out the interesting ways that many marine animals adapt and camouflage in their surrounding environments. I have just begun to look up information so my resource list will be added later. This is an important topic for several reasons. To begin with, I teach sixth grade and one of the proficiency objectives centers around how organisms adapt to their environment and types of adaptations, like camouflage benefit them. It si also important to understand how these adaptations have changed over time (evolution). Finally, I am scared witless of some of these creatures that we will be meeting. I want to be VERY prepared for what I am about to see. Please feel free to write me and give any ideas.

What is camouflage?
How do creatures use it?
What are some organisms who use it?
Organisms through time.
