Part of the allure of the ocean for me are the many creatures that are
potentially dangerous. In fact, I am very hopeful that we will come across a great Hammerhead! Many people do not realize that snakes also live in the ocean.
Some species of sea snakes are quite poisonous. I would like to research these
creatures and share my findings with the students of the Marine Ecology class of 2000. My early research indicates that we will probably not run into any sea snakes where we will be diving! I guess that is good news for some!

Outline

1. Evolutionary history of sea snakes
2. Life cycle and lifespans
3. Native locations
4. venom/toxins/antivenin
5. Survivability for victims
