The problem stems from-a feeling of profound defectiveness in one's being--

Jealousy seems to be a problem of core self-worth, A painful symptom of deeper insecurities. It is Abandonment fear with legs and horns and a loudspeaker. -

some suggest that a pro-symptom position, and recognition of unconscious emotional truth,could lead to a discovery worth of of one's own inner being.

Having said this, I was with a man who cheated on me for fourteen years, a sex addict who lied constantly. I now find it impossible to trust anyone. I am unable to overcome my jealousy.

I have become pathologically jealous and welcome any positive suggestions about how to overcome it as it makes all relationships impossible.
