Miami has 100s of acres of beautiful Natural Areas which lend themselves to research projects! (Quicktime movie~4 mb). On the same walk, I spotted my first garter snake of the spring! In another 1 mb quicktime movie, a pair of mallard ducks lands in Harkers Run in Bachelor Woods

    This teaching unit can be used in conjunction with an aquatic biology course, ecology course, or an environmental course. This unit involves the discussion of the various marine habitats, their characteristics, biodiversity, and benefits. Students will also discover the various threats to the largest portion of the Earth. Students will also discover the importance of the various ocean habitats and how to reduce the risk of future harm.
