Costa Rica has been home to over 100 volcanoes. Several are still active today. Not only are these tourist atractions, they are also major players in Costa Rica's evolution. Costa Rica's dynamic geologic location makes this country a facinating place to study volcanoes and the factors that influence them. I intend to discuss the following:

1. The variety of volcanoes throughout Costa Rica and the reason for this country's geologic activity.

2. The formation and influences of Crator Lake

3. The possible affects of Crator Lake on Costa Rica's Groundwater
